Unique Teaching Opportunity

The Learning Co-operative Primary School seeks a special person as a fulltime coordinator/teacher for 2009.

The Co-operative is a small parent-run, alternative school in a natural bush setting on Melbourne’s north-eastern fringe. As coordinator/teacher you will become a part of an environment where the pace and diversity of learning is inspired by the children and facilitated by you and the parents. You will need to be an experienced, flexible, creative, caring person who is able to engage both girls and boys. You will work closely with the parents and support them in their role as learning facilitators/teachers.

Teacher for alternative primary school

Daylesford Learning Collective is a small, alternative primary school based in Daylesford, central Victoria.
The school emphasises parental involvement in all areas of the program from curriculum development to running the school.
Parents work alongside the sole co-ordinator/teacher in a multi-age, open-plan environment. The emphasis is on play-based learning, with a high adult to child ratio.
We operate through consensus and have a detailed charter and the co-ordinator/teacher we seek will have experience working in this or a similar environment.
