experienced Primary Teachers

Currambena Primary School and Pre-school in Lane Cove

is an independent, secular, alternative/democratic school for students from 3 - 12 years old.

We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and preferably experienced Primary Teachers for the 2012 school year. Two leave positions are available, one year each, with possible extension.

Key challenges for a person working at Currambena are:

  • teaching and managing a group of enthusiastic and independent learners, interpreting curricula to meet individual needs
  • operating in a non-hierarchical environment
  • learning and implementing conflict resolution principles in classroom management, playground supervision, parent interactions and relationships with peers
  • sharing the environment with Pre-school
  • participating in weekly staff meetings and contributing to governance and management of the school
  • implementing and promoting Currambena's values and philosophy

Two Teaching Positions

Pine Community School, Brisbane

We are currently advertising for two teachers next year (2012) at our school. A position is available to team-teach in our middle years room, as well as a position for an experienced early years teacher in our younger room.
